Upon getting qualified, I realised I would need to work hard at gaining more experience, to offer a better quality of work to make myself standout from others even whilst being employed and now more importantly as self-employed

Fortunately I enjoy learning and the electrical industry is changing at a fast pace than ever, from solar andand EV to smart controls and wireless switches, homes can do almost anything your smart phone can.

I am finding more new customers are coming to me due to being let down by other contractors either through communication breakdown or cowboys running off and no longer answering their calls. I always feel sorry for such a situation, but feel the industry doesn't arm the client with the right tools, are you asking if the contractor is insured, can correctly certificate the work, are even qualified to carry out the work. Thats why I decided to join the NICEIC, the most known brand in the industry, they assess my work every year to confirm I comply with the changing regulations and they check I have the correct insurance for the scope of work I carry out.
